FLTA Annual Convention - Tampa

1. Discuss each Florida-approved endorsement to determine if: (1) it should be revised to match the latest ALTA version; (2) any other correction or modification should be made.  

Interest has been expressed in the following endorsements in particular:

     a. ALTA 10-06 Assignment of Mortgage.  The latest ALTA version contains a creditors' rights  

     exclusion but the Florida form does not.

      b.  ALTA 14-series  Endorsements.  The Florida and FLTA versions do not exclude coverage for: (1)

      advances made more than 20 years after the date of the mortgage; and (2) advances made after the

      mortgagoor or successor in title records a notice limiting advances to a stated maximum, to the extent the

      advance exceeds the stated maximum.

      c. ALTA 14.1-03 Future Advance - Knowledge.  Discuss seeking having the approval of the form

      withdrawn since it is only applicable in states which deny priority to advances made if the lender knows of

      intervening liens.

2. Discuss seeking approval of additional ALTA endorsements.

3. Discuss Treaty to see if any changes needed.
