Jacksonville Title Agent, Cynthia Strickland, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for her participation in transactions involving straw buyers, unmade down-payments and inflated purchase prices.   Unlike so many cases, the news release provides some details on how the fraud was structured and highlights how easily a title agent can become complicit by "looking the other way" or ignoring red flags of fraud.
