Introducing the Melodye Marvin Memorial Scholarship
The Melodye Marvin Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of its namesake Melodye Marvin. Melodye was an incredible woman who worked tirelessly to promote the success of agents within the industry and was a great supporter of others, especially women. Mel highly valued education and was a lifelong learner, always reading books that helped foster a growth mindset. She loved spending time with her family, trying new recipes and pursuing new adventures, whether that be a large-scale renovation project or an RV trip across the entire United States. Melodye served as an agency account representative with Fidelity National Financial-Florida Agency for over 20 years and worked as a paralegal before joining FNF. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
FNF Family of Companies-Florida Agency will match contributions up to the first $2,500.

Supporting Students for Higher Education:
Each year during the FLTA Convention monies are raised with the help of the silent auction and raffle tickets, and then converted to scholarships for the following year. Thanks to the generosity of the attendees, the Foundation has been able to support ten students each year with $1,000 scholarships to go towards their education expenses.

Hurricane Ian Relief: Collier Community Foundation and Florida Disaster Fund
The FLTA Charitable Action Foundation is proud to share that through the support of FLTA members and the community, the Foundation is able to provide $10,000 to the Collier Community Foundation and $10,000 to the Florida Disaster Fund for Hurricane Ian Relief.
The purpose of the Collier Community Foundation is to first provide immediate relief to those affected and the nonprofits that support the victims in the aftermath of a crisis. It also serves to assure donors’ support will reach its intended cause. After immediate needs are met such as food, water and shelter, the focus will turn to long-term needs such as housing and transportation. The Collier Community Foundation directly serves the community where the FLTA Annual Convention was held.
Through Florida’s Division of Emergency Management, the funds provided to the Florida Disaster Fund will be earmarked directly towards the victims of Hurricane Ian. With a broader approach the funds will assist in other communities by helping organizations and residents in Southwest Florida and other impacted communities.
FLTA Convention: Meal Packing for Meals of Hope
In late September 2022, Hurricane Ian left devastating impact to Southwest Florida where FLTA was looking to host its annual convention in Naples a few weeks later. Not wanting to create further negative impact, it was decided to move forward with the convention as it would impact employees, families and the community to not have the event. Taking it one step further, the FLTA Charitable Action Foundation stepped in by creating an opportunity with the help of Meals of Hope to generate 51,464 meals for hurricane victims and the surrounding community. This effort was made possible by the 300 attendees of the convention and accomplished in 2-hours.

In December 2020, FLTA contributed $20,000 to Florida area food banks, here are some of their messages:
FCAF has also contributed to the Champlian Towers tragedy in South Florida, relief efforts in Harper, Texas, from the ice storm, and contributed to student scholarships for higher education.
